WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like Eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. However, the item upgrade used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks, to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

The cost of upgrades will vary based on the current level of the equipment being upgraded, but will always be less expensive than buying new gear from other sources. For instance upgrading a Benthic chest piece to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item upgrader mod from a different player will cost 105.

Upgrades are items that can be used for weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for various currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be applied to any weapon or tool with the help of button, which displays a preview of the item at its next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

upgrade item costs differ based on the item slot, and the current item upgrader mod level. For instance weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers or bracers.
